Hello Leaders,
I recently stepped into a new role as a Corporate Advisory Board Member for XTI Aerospace, and let me tell you, when you walk into a new company, it’s like stepping into a whole new world.
New vision. New strategy. New challenges. And, of course, a whole new language.
Every company has its own lingo. The buzzwords. The acronyms. The phrases that everyone just knows, except if you’re the new person in the room, you don’t. And let’s be real, that can feel awkward.
At XTI Aerospace, it’s all about "pioneering next-gen aviation" and "disrupting flight as we know it." When I first sat down with the team, I didn’t just want to understand the strategy. I wanted to speak the language of the company. Because here’s the thing: if you don’t understand the language, you don’t fully understand the culture. And if you don’t understand the culture, it’s a whole lot harder to add value.
That got me thinking, how many leaders hold themselves back simply because they’re not tuned into the way their company communicates?…
